What do the letters after the name of a monitor mean (m, d, q, etc)?

Good question. On many products specially printers, HP has many meaningful suffixes (for example w for wireless, n for network, d for duplex ..) but not monitors.

But same for printers, HP has series for example 3620 series can have 3620, 3621, .... 3629 and they normally use same software, manuals .... but all of them may not on a same market or same zone.

Now, back to your question, from their specs

    m supports FHD (1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz)

    q  supports QHD (2560 x 1440 @ 60 Hz)

    d  supports dock

I don't know what is m for but looks like q for QHD and d for Dock.

Regards.
