Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi, dear community,

I have a problem with a mouse, wired, connected to a windows 8.1 OS 64 bits.

I bought a mouse, but this has a fluorescent green light always on, and I don't want this light on.

I bought this mouse in a box, and I did not expect that had this light on all the time.

Please, if someone can help me.

Thanks.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,  I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

1 Forward button: Press to return to the previous page visited in a Web browser.

2 Back buttons: Press to go to the last page visited in a

Web browser.

3 Lighting effect buttons: Press to change the lighting effect between single colour (default), alternating all four colours, and off.

4 Lighting colour buttons: Press to change the colour of the lighting between green (default), violet, white, and red.

5 Scroll wheel Click to use program-specific functions.

6 DPI setting: button Press to change the DPI setting.

• Green: 1600 DPI (default)

• Violet: 2400 DPI

• White: 3500 DPI

• Red: 5000 DPI

To get the answer to this question, you won't be able to turn off the default light ( green )

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
