HP Omen Sequencer

So apparently my HP Omen Sequencer lights are not working correctly, I have been using it for 1-2 years and it was perfect until today somehow I noticed it's flickering on the buttons on the right, I tried everything, swapping usbs , restarted the PC, connected them to a different computer, still same issue, if i put it in white color that part only be red or anything close, any clue why? Red is OK but the buttons affected SMH flicker a bit On(while writing this they now always flicker)
blue is stuck at red or just turned off. The Same goes for green
Keys effected: F12,Prtsc , SC lock, pause, insert , the omen button , pg up , delete , end ,pg on , back button, =, shift, ctrl, and up arrow

I noticed if I put the a color on a single button from the effected ones, all of them light up with red(only if the color was not red which is weird), even tho I selected one

the color set in the picture is white but its not showing correctly in the image,

the color set17035227316452146790460373352492.jpg
All buttons function correctly but the lights only missed up so I think the leds are dying ?

Hi @Magdix,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you are experiencing a hardware issue with your HP Omen Sequencer keyboard. The symptoms you described, such as flickering lights and incorrect color displays on specific keys, suggest a possible malfunction in the keyboard's RGB lighting system.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Update Firmware/Software: Make sure that you have the latest firmware or software updates for your HP Omen Sequencer keyboard. Visit the official HP support website to check for any available updates.
  • Check for Physical Damage: Inspect the keyboard for any physical damage, loose connections, or visible issues with the LED lights. If there's any damage.
  • Reset to Default Settings: If there's an option in the software, try resetting the keyboard settings to default. This can help eliminate any software-related issues.
  • Reinstall Drivers: Uninstall the keyboard drivers from your computer and then reinstall them. This can sometimes resolve communication issues between the keyboard and the computer.
  • Check RGB Lighting Software: If your keyboard comes with RGB lighting customization software, ensure that the software is configured correctly. Try reconfiguring the lighting settings to see if that resolves the issue.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, and the problem persists, it's likely a hardware malfunction,

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hey alden

thanks for the tips, i want to share that for some odd reason, when I turned off the PC overnight and switched the PSU to off, it magically got itself fixed, even tho it still sometimes flickers from time to time, color is not accurate/alter, but I can call this a win, its probable hardware, even tho it was not damaged at all, had a video of the same keyboard 12 hours ago before the incident, it was perfectly fine, I tried looking for firmware but it seems there is none, OMEN Gaming hub is up to date, everything is up to date, I do have to note that its not likely to be a software issue because I tried the same keyboard on a different computer and still behaved the same way, as of now its currently working fine, but I will consider trying the solutions you provided if I got the same issue in future

thanks for your hard work
