Hi @Malleyah

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I’m sorry to hear your HP earbuds aren’t working properly. When one earbud works and the other doesn’t, it’s often related to a few common causes, especially if there’s no visible button on the earbuds themselves.

Here are some troubleshooting steps to try:

Check the Connection and Fit:

Sometimes the earbuds don’t fit properly, causing sound only in one ear. Make sure both earbuds are fully inserted and seated correctly in your ears or charging case.

Reset the Earbuds:

Even if there’s no physical button, many HP earbuds support reset through placing them back in the charging case and holding the case lid closed for about 10-15 seconds. This can reset pairing and connection issues.

Alternatively, remove the earbuds from your device’s Bluetooth list and pair them again.

Charge Fully:

Ensure both earbuds are fully charged. Sometimes one earbud’s battery can drain faster, causing it not to work.

Check Audio Balance Settings:

On your phone or computer, check the audio balance settings and make sure sound isn’t shifted fully to one side.

Firmware Updates:

Some earbuds update firmware via an app. Check if there is an HP app for your earbuds to update the software.

Test on Another Device:

Try connecting the earbuds to a different phone or computer to see if the problem persists.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it may be a hardware fault with the earbuds.

If you’d like, I can also help you find specific instructions or support for your exact HP earbuds model. Could you please share the model number?
