OMEN Mouse 600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Whenever I hold down both mouse buttons for four seconds, it flashes white three times and it releases both buttons even though I'm still pressing them down. Can anyone tell me what this is doing and how to prevent this?

Do you still have that mouse? Another user claims this update fixed the issue.

If you have the mouse, run this update and let me know if it worked...

Hello @HooDouYuTheenk

Holding the right and left mouse buttons for 3-4 seconds resets the mouse back to default settings for both DPI and LOD.

Its physically designed this way and there is no way to change that. There is no bios reset or any other work around to fix it.

HP neglected to mention this in the instructions.

Hope that helps

Thank you so much, it worked! But... how do I reset it to the default settings now?

HP Recommended

That part HP didnt mention. I assume they took away the reset option with the new update. Would holding down the L/R mouse buttons for a longer period of time do it? IF not, I have no way of knowing.

Hey it did not work for me, do you have any others solutions?

HP Recommended

If you updated the firmware on the HP Omen 500 mouse, it will return the ability to use simultaneous L/R hold for certain game functions, but the ability to reset the mouse will be lost.

I mean, i could use the mouse buton 5 to crouch in game but now it slows my sensitivity and i cant use it anymore. Do you know why? And how can i get it back?

HP Recommended

Sorry I have not heard of that issue. I don't know why its doing that. Again, did you update the firmware? If so and its causing the issue, it cannot be turned back.

If you are saying right, i may have done that... Do you mean that i have to buy another one? This functionality is so stupid...
