OMEN Command Center
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently found an ad on Facebook for OMEN Command Center.  I can access it at work and receive the accomplishments just fine.  Up until yesterday I could come home and play on my account using OMEN Command Center and I would receive the emails confirming that I had finished the requirements.  Today is the same.  I use my hp laptop to go somewhere else and I can get the rewards to show up on the application and I can start challenges. Whenever I am at home, the application shows that the location service cannot find me, even though the location service is on and I can use maps to find my house.  The app says try to resend the location request but it doesn't work.  Can anyone she'd shme light on this?  I do not own any OMEN products but the application said it supported non hp systems.

The OP mentioned that he is not using an Omen PC. But the OCC will now let non Omen owners use the Game Rewards feature just the same.

@redeemnegotiato  You said this started a couple of days ago? My first guess is probably when the Omen Command Center (OCC) updated versions around that time to ver... 9.4.6.0, this occurred. It could also be a Windows update that's not cooperating.

First, I will ask you if you can still run the OCC and access the Feedback link, use it and report what is happening. It will create a log file that is sent via your email. That is the fastest way to get the problem reported to the Omen team.

Second, see if you have Windows Restore Points enabled. If you do, see if there is a point saved just before your system updated at that time. Revert back to that point and see if the OCC version is now the previous 9.4.4.0 or earlier and if your location is now recognized. If so, you can make windows postpone updates for 30 days until hopefully a fix is implemented.

You could also uninstall and reinstall the OCC via the MS Store, but I have doubts that will fix this.

Get OMEN Command Center - Microsoft Store

That is about all I can offer.

First of all, you originally said you did own any HP products, now you do?

You need to be straight and detailed with me or you're wasting my time.

Tell us what HP LAPTOP you really have as in the Product number so we aren't guessing.

Its in the HP Support Assistant.

its an hp which i previously mentioned. Its not an OMEN though. Its a probook 6475b with an a10 processor. It has Windows 10 installed with hardly any of the HP support software installed.

There, posting the model number in the beginning would have helped us all from the start. 😉

We don't support HP business class PCs in the consumer gaming section of the forum.

I have no way of knowing how your ProBook is configured.

Do you have a Mobile Broadband card installed? If so and that is how you are accessing the internet, you will have to look up those settings or make sure its functioning.

If using WiFi, Windows does have location ability. Go to All Settings/Privacy and make sure its enabled.

Otherwise, you would need to read my first post about possible updates and a restore point revert.

If reverting to a restore point before this occurred solves the issue, you need to pay attention to what was installed when this occurred. You will also need to use the Feedback link on the OCC to report what happened.
