Hi, I bought this monitor two weeks ago and I have two computers that are attached. One using display port the second using hdmi. I absolutely love it's performance, however I have one issue. My understanding is that it is supposed to auto switch when a different input is detected. If i have both computers off and I turn on the one that was not used last, the monitor does not automatically switch to that input. This is true for the display port or the hdmi input. The only way is to use the on screen menu. It wouldn't be so bad if i could set on of the osd buttons to the input but that is not one of the options. I'd really like to resolve this, but otherwise I will need to return the monitor. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi, so there isn't a auto-switch option in the input menu. Just Display Port or HDMI. I've done a factory reset from within the OSD, is that what you mean? I still see the same options. Thanks for responding.

Looking into it further, I can find a small amount of info for that mentioned on the 25 inch FreeSync enabled monitor.
But I don't find any mention about auto switching on the 27 inch Gsync monitor in the maintenance manual.
Strange, I would think they would both have that feature.
You would do best to contact HP directly and ask for clarification. You're entitled to get warranty help for a year.

So this is from the user guide (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05552303) on page 5. It clearly appears there should be auto switching occuring. Thanks for responding.

Yes, it is obviously not auto switching and the Maintenence Guide does not give a solution for it.
Contact Support for a warranty issue just the same.
I dont know what they will do but they might have to send you another one.
Thanks.

I use the monitor for my desktop (gaming) but also for my work laptop and don’t want to have to manually switch inputs everyday
