Hello,

my mouse Omen by HP mouse 400 has a problem when scrolling the wheel up and down.
When scrolling slowly (for example by reading a text), it sometimes scrolls in reverse for one moment, that is, it goes up instead of down and vice versa.

After that it works normally.
Already updated firmware, i can't find any driver on HP site (Windows 10 professional 64 bit).
I have tryed the reset procedure by pressing left and right button for more than 3 seconds but nothing happens, i'm not sure the procedure is working, should i see some flashes or something else?

@WillyCoyote,

I imagine you've had this mouse for a while, and alas, they are known to be subject to the law of gradual decay.

Whatever trick there may or may not be (probably not) to fix your problem, chances are you need to brace yourself to replace it.

For your consideration, here are two purchase options of similar HP Omen mouse's that, as far as I can tell, are very reasonably priced: https://www.ebay.com/itm/174938810259?epid=13045827738&hash=item28bb2a6793:g:nZYAAOSwLDVhQEAh or here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/203612851560?epid=10047354567&hash=item2f68458d68:g:KV0AAOSwIXRhSDtj, that is, assuming you live in the US.

Kind Regards,

Thanks for your support, but that's not the kind of response I needed.
First I would like to understand if the reset works, and if it is possible to remove the wheel for some mechanical trick.
