Hp 25x monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I’ve recently just purchased a hp 25x monitor (1080p), I’m a bit confused to why I’m only limited to 85hz on the screen and not the full 144hz with a DisplayPort 1.4 cable. I can get 144hz via hdmi but not with my DisplayPort which I’ve just purchased, I’ve also went into geforce control panel and windows settings to see if I can sort the problem out but no luck at all. I would be much appreciated if someone could have a solution to my problem as I would like to setup dual monitors (hp25x with DisplayPort and second monitor with hdmi)

I understand that Only getting 85hz from a DisplayPort 1.4 when the monitor says 144hz.
