Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I am unable to get any help for my HP Portable SSD P500 1 TB hard drive because my serial number is not recognized on the HP Support page. The problem with my hard drive is that it keeps disconnecting from my PC, The computer says  it does not recognize my hard drive and that my hard drive is corrupt. I try to reformat the drive and it say's that it is not able to reformat the drive. Any help would be appreciated as I have only had this drive a few months.
