Hello.

I have HyperX Cloud II Wireless headset. Can someone plz show me the option in HyperX NGENUITY app to check firmware update? I have only version number and no check or update firmware button. version 4.1.1.3 is the latest for HyperX Cloud II Wirelss headset?

Hi @FC_PerfectO,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I’m sorry you’re going through this; I understand the concern and don’t worry I’ll help you with this.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

Are you using the Microsoft Store version of NGENUITY or the Beta version from HyperX’s website? Sometimes features differ between them.

When you connect your Cloud II Wireless, does the app recognize the headset properly (showing battery, EQ, etc.), or does it only display the version number?

Did you recently reinstall NGENUITY after a Windows reset or update?

Here are a few troubleshooting steps worth trying:

  • Check for the Beta NGENUITY app: The firmware update option is usually available only in the Beta version downloaded directly from HyperX’s site, not the Microsoft Store version.
  • Reconnect the USB dongle: Unplug and re-plug the wireless dongle, then restart NGENUITY to see if the update option appears.
  • Run as Administrator: Sometimes permissions block updates. Try launching NGENUITY with admin rights.
  • Reinstall NGENUITY: Fully uninstall the app, restart your PC, and reinstall the latest Beta version.

Do you see your headset fully recognized in NGENUITY (battery, EQ, mic settings), or is it only showing the firmware version with no other options? this detail will help figure out if it’s a detection issue or just the app version.

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster!

Hi @Deep_World,

Thank you for all advices. I installed Beta NGENUITY app, but it doesn't support Cloud II Wireless - empty DEVICES in it. - message "NO DEVICE DETECTED" (left part of the screenshot)

The old app from official HyperX website (not Microsoft store) Release 2.35.0.0 connects to my Cloud II Wireless, shows % battery and presets are working (right part of the screenshot)

Also, as I wrote, it shows, that my Cloud II Wireless has Firmware v4.1.1.3

Run as Administrator didn't help.

The thing is that I don't know how to check if Firmware v4.1.1.3 is the latest version for Cloud II Wireless?
