Since I purchased this device years ago, I always had this issue when launching the Omen Accelerator software:
"Realtek LightWeight Filter driver not installed or failed to load"
I saw many threads, without any real answers. Most of them were closed eventually.
I just reinstalled Windows, a brand new up-to-date install, and still the same issue.
But, by the way, what is a LightWeight Filter???

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
To get the answer to this question, A Miniport is a type of hardware driver, part of the Windows Driver Model.
However, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Have you connected docking station to this device?
- Have you tried disconnecting all the power supply cables and checked?
Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hello 🙂
I have a Spectre x360. I don't use any docking station with it, unless the Omen Accelerator can be considered as a docking station.
If I disconnet the power supply from the accelerator, well, it won't be supplied any more, and it will obviously get disconnected from the laptop.
The accelerator has its own supply unit. The accelerator provides power, video acceleration, external display(s), ethernet, internal and external drives to the laptop through a single Thunderbolt usb-c cable.
Most of the time, the laptop has no other power supply connected.
