OMEN by HP 25 Display

Recently my Omen 25 monitor has not been turning on. When plugged in the light will be orange but the screen will remain blank, even when a device is plugged in. Usually when turned on the light will be red but it just stays orange and no buttons work. Can someone help?

Display problems come in varying forms and some are easier to address than others. The root cause and best solution are often different depending on how they manifest. For example,

  1. Power and connectivity issues
  2. Poor cooling and hardware problems
  3. Hardware or software that’s out of date
  4. Physical damage and maintenance issues

Hi @OSHERMM ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you've already tried some basic troubleshooting steps for your Omen 25 monitor, such as checking power and connectivity issues. Since those steps didn't resolve the problem, let's explore some additional troubleshooting steps:

Check the cables: Ensure that the cables connecting your monitor to your computer or other devices are securely plugged in. Try using different cables to rule out the possibility of a faulty cable.

Test with a different device: Connect the monitor to a different device, such as another computer or a gaming console, to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is with the monitor or the connected device.

Perform a power cycle: Unplug the monitor from the power source, wait for about 15-30 seconds, and then plug it back in. This can sometimes resolve issues related to power fluctuations or internal errors.

Factory reset the monitor: If your monitor has a factory reset option in its settings menu, consider performing a factory reset. This will revert the monitor settings to their default values and may resolve any configuration issues.

Update firmware/drivers: Check the HP website for any firmware updates for your Omen 25 monitor. Similarly, make sure that your graphics card drivers on the connected device are up-to-date.

Inspect for physical damage: Carefully examine the monitor for any signs of physical damage, such as bent pins, cracked screen, or damaged ports. If you find any physical damage, it might require repair.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
