HP Recommended

I own an HP Reverb G2 headset that came with a cable marked "Rev A". Recently, I’ve been encountering the recurring error “Check your USB cable, Error Code: 4-1” in the Windows Mixed Reality Portal.

I have already tried all recommended troubleshooting steps, including using different USB 3.0 ports directly on the motherboard, updating USB and chipset drivers, disabling USB power saving options, and more. Unfortunately, the issue persists.

After doing some research, I found that this error is a known problem with the first-generation (Rev A) cable. Many users report that switching to the newer Rev 2 cable (Rev C) resolved the issue completely.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the original purchase receipt, but I would still like to kindly ask if it’s possible to receive a replacement cable – as the Rev 2 version is no longer available anywhere through official channels, and I’m currently unable to use my beloved headset because of this issue, even though it’s otherwise working perfectly.

I would greatly appreciate your support and a possible goodwill solution.
