HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Morning,

So my battery charger is starting to get frayed wires, with the outcabling exposing the white, black and blue wiring and now the black wiring is exposing the strands beneath it. I'd rather get a replacement rather than the wiring become further damaged and eventually connecting (thus causing sparks!)

It's a Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0xxx using the HP 150W charger.

I thought I'd google up a replacement but so far I'm only seeing the following: https://www.pcadaptersdepot.co.uk/hp-ac-adapters-c-122_71/original-150w-hp-pavilion-gaming-15cx0000-...

Yet that's for a 15-cx0000 not a 15-cx0xxx - so I'm assuming it won't be the same/work correctly?

Hi,

The 15-cx0XXX and 15-cx0000 are the series of notebooks (2 different ways HP identifies them, but are the same) of which your model is part. Instead of the 0s or Xs there will be different numbers. Here is how to find your exact model number

The part number for the ac adapater is 917649-850

You can use any HP 150W ac adapter with the blue tip

Hope it helps,

David
