Dear HP Support Team,

I am writing to express my concern regarding the recent discontinuation of Windows Mixed Reality (WMR) support by Microsoft with the release of Windows 11 version 24H2.

As an owner of the HP Reverb G2, I have been using this device primarily for simulation and virtual reality applications such as Euro Truck Simulator 2 and Microsoft Flight Simulator. However, following the update to Windows 11 24H2, my Reverb G2 has become entirely unusable, since Microsoft has removed all core WMR components, including the Mixed Reality Portal and runtime drivers.

This removal effectively renders the HP Reverb G2 inoperable on any system running Windows 11 24H2 or later. As HP Reverb G2 is a WMR-exclusive headset, it now lacks any official runtime or driver support from the operating system, meaning the product cannot function in its intended capacity.

I fully understand that Microsoft made this decision; however, as an HP customer, I must highlight that my HP Reverb G2 has now lost its primary functionality through no fault of my own. The device cannot currently be used, nor does HP provide an alternative software layer or update to maintain compatibility.

In light of this situation, I would like to request one of the following resolutions:

A full or partial refund due to the device being rendered functionally obsolete; or

An alternative upgrade or trade-in program, allowing affected customers to transition to a supported HP or third-party VR solution.

Please advise on the official stance of HP regarding this issue, and whether there are any current or upcoming solutions to restore functionality to the HP Reverb G2 on modern Windows systems.

Thank you for your understanding and assistance. I look forward to your response.

Kind regards,
