My Reverb G2 has been working well up until about 3 days ago. Now there is no power. The breakout box led is illuminated but no power to the headset. HP logo doesnt light up on the headset either. Steam VR/WMR reports "connect headset" !! Tried unplugging, re plugging in the C type USB into its socket, ditto the DP cable. Win 10 up to date as of yesterday. Tried a standard USB port with the type c USB adapter. USB cable securely seated into the VR mask. I have been genuinely gentle with the G2 including the cable. No kinks or bends. VR chat is less than USELESS as is the telephone number of HP support as it doesnt have the correct choice of the nature of the problem. fine if its a pc/printer etc but no obvious link to anything G2 related.
Help would be appreciated also, can someone point me in the right direction to request a repair/replacement or if necessary a return. after all, what is the use of a £500.00 brick?
Thanks in advance.

Hi@ Stubbo, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Install and update the latest BIOS & video card drivers, once done, use the below steps:
-
Open the controller's battery cover.
-
Press and hold the pairing button. It is located below the batteries.
-
Press and hold the Windows button for five seconds.
-
Release both buttons simultaneously. The process of resetting should take about 15 seconds.
-
Pair your motion controllers with your PC.
Once done, try the below steps:
-
Open the Mixed Reality Portal app on your PC.
-
In the side menu click on see more.
-
Select set up controllers.
-
In the settings screen you now see, click add Bluetooth or other device.
-
Open the battery door on your controllers.
-
Press the small button below the batteries for 2 seconds until the lights flash.
-
When the controllers appear in the list, click connect.
Now, put on your headset and make sure that they're working and tracking OK. If you don't see them as in the image above, hold down the Windows button for two seconds until it vibrates to turn them off.
Then repeat the process to turn them back on again and this should make them both appear in front of you.
Once the controllers have paired over Bluetooth the lights on the ring will stop flashing and instead stay bright and steady.
Reverb G2 to support the notebook needs to checked taking remote access so that get to know it's a hardware or software issue.
I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.

Hi@Stubbo,
As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Take a at look this post:
Also, the serial number for me was located on the inside of the headset and to the left of the lens. The sticker is small and can be difficult to read.
