Reverb G2 cable for Reverb1?

Hello, new forum user here.

I use my Reverb 1 mostly for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The only annoying point is the inflexible cable. I read that the G2 comes with a more flexible cable. Thus I've got two questions:

(i) Is the Reverb 1 cable  compatible to the Reverb  G2 cable, i.e. could it be exchanged?

(iii) If so, is there a possibility to buy a separate G2 cable, e.g. directly from the HP store or from a reseller?

Reverb G2 to support the notebook needs to checked taking remote access so that get to know it's a hardware or software issue.

I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.

What kind of terrible and incoherent reply was that?  The G2 and G1 use a different cable.

I am afraid, the previous responder didn't even understand the question.
