My G2 arrived today so I
1-Uninstalled the Oculus Software
2-Ran Windows Update
3-Started Windows Mixed Reality (all checkmarks, "Good to Go") click next
4-Connect headset . . .
Still waiting for something to happen?
I tried it with AND without the power adapter, I have a type-c usb, do I still need to plug in the power cord?
I also tried the adapter and plugged into the USB 3.1 Type-A but only get a white light on the box when I plug in the power adapter.
Specs:
i7 8700k
Asus Z370-e
32 gb RAM
GTX 1080ti Strix
I do run 4 monitors, one in plugged into the mainboard to allow for the headset to plug into the 1080ti.

I have the exact smae problem, and I want to hopefully resolve this before I need to return it.
I have made sure to firmware upgrade the graphics card to verify display port 1.3.
Verified that absolutely all windows updates has been run.
Tried multiple USB ports and Display ports. But it just does not register in the connect your headset in Windows Mixed reality....

Hi, I had the same problem initially, it turned out that the cable #1 is not rightly plugged in. Refer to https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Accessories/HP-Reverb-G2-not-detected-need-help/td-p/7966151 the pic in this post.
