HP Reverb G2 Virtual Reality Headset
Microsoft Windows 11

Since a couple of days the Reverb G2 started to switch between on board HD audio and the headset audio. You can see the volume in WMR go up and down. Then after a few times repeating this, you see that the USB device disconnects. Until a reboot USB 2.0 headset sound device is gone.

Nasty, as I have not found why this started. There was no visible driver change since January ˋ22 . Windows service packs were applied, but I uninstalled and tried again. Same result.

It does only happen to the headset audio. Rest of the audio remains without issues.

Really puzzles me as I have the latest cable with on/off switch, which basically should have resolved all these issues.

Hi,

Have you tried something from this thread? https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Accessories/Reverb-G2-briefly-worked-and-now-gives-Error-code-4-1-in/td-p/7903750

There are several solutions to a similar problem in this discussion.

Kind Regards
