HP Reverb G2 Virtual Reality Headset

Hi HP forum community. I'm having a strange error with my headset that's preventing any sound from coming through the built-in speakers. Only three audio devices show up (Steam Streaming Microphone, Steam Streaming Speakers, and Realtek(R) Audio) and none of them produce any sound in the headset.

In Bluetooth and other Devices, the Audio device "Hololens Sensors" flashes between the text "Connected to USB 3.0" and "Driver error".

What's most strange is that after going into Device Manager and uninstalling the HoloLens Sensors in Universal Serial Bus Devices and then restarting, the audio device "Realtek(R) Audio 2.0" will show up and will successfully produce sound from the headset's speakers for up to a minute, before the driver error removes that device and prevents any audio from functioning again.

I've tried to install the audio firmware from here but the update tool gave me the error that it can't detect an HP G2 Reverb Headset, even though the visuals and SteamVR work fine.

Specs:

CPU: Intel i5 13600KF

GPU: AMD RX 5700

Motherboard: PRIME B760M-A D4

RAM: 64 GB (16 GBx4)

Please help! I'd really like to be able to use my headset's audio again.
