Product: HP Reverb G2 Virtual Reality Headset

Just received my headset and realized the pc I am connecting it to is not "modern" enough to handle it. When I first read the specs, it seemed that it would work. My problem is that the pc will not run Mixed Reality Portal. Is there a way to use this headset without that program.
