HP Reverb G2 Virtual Reality Headset

I purchased a Reverb G2 less than a year ago, on 12/27/23, and HP is saying the warranty has expired, even though they have a one year warranty. The headset will not connect to Steam VR ("Headset not found" error), so this warranty concerns me a great deal, and people are telling me it most likely are faulty cables. I contacted HP, a case number was assigned, and then I received an email stating the case was closed... No word on my warranty being corrected, no explanation, nothing. Has anyone else experienced this sort of thing with HP? What can I do?
