I bought a pair of x1000 gaming speakers from HP. Unfortunately, there is constant static noise emitting from them, even if they aren't being used (i.e. no audio is being played).
I've tried updating / uninstalling the driver to no avail. I read up on this and, apparently, many people are having similar problems. Some even reported that these speakers permanently damaged their PCs audio.
Does anyone know of a solution to this problem, any help would be very much appreciated. 🙂

If this is of any help. Turning the speakers off and on again fixes the static noise temporarily. As soon as my computer plays any audio however, it starts the noise again though.

Hi@FeanorFinwion,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing issues with the HP X1000 Gaming Speakers not working correctly.
I have a few recommendations
- Check whether it's the speaker or the audio card, plug-in Headphones and see if the same issue appears. If it doesn't then it indicates that there is an issue with the Speaker Hardware.
- Update drivers through Device Manager, instead of manually
