I have the OMEN gaming hub thing always open - don't know what it is or what it's for, but i don't do  gaming, so can i close it somehow or unistall it?

it's up to you, depending on the model you have more or less possibilities.
For some, it will be modifications to the lighting of a tower keypad, boost options, or just network boost.
So yes, if you don't have certain functions, this may be unnecessary, I personally uninstalled it!
