Hello.

I got my HP x1000 Wireless Gaming Headset about a year ago. Today while turning it on the charging and on indicator lit up simultaneously. Since then, I cannot switch the device on/off. Pressing/long pressing the power button and the mute button does not do anything. Its been 24hours and I am waiting for the battery to run dry hoping that would hard reset my device.  Is there any other solution other than to wait for the battery to run out? Is there any way that I can manually hard reset the device without waiting for my battery to be drained?

Thanks.

Hi@Davide1231,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP x1000 Wireless Gaming Headset. While waiting for the battery to drain might work, there are a few other troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Manual Reset Button (if available): Check if your headset has a small reset button. It's often a tiny hole that you can press with a paperclip or a similar tool. Refer to the user manual for your headset to locate this button and follow the instructions on how to use it.
  2. Connect to a Power Source: Try connecting the headset to a power source using the charging cable and see if anything changes. Sometimes, a connection to power can reset the device.
  3. Update Firmware (if applicable): Visit the HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your headset. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve performance issues.
  4. Check for Physical Damage: Inspect the headset for any physical damage, such as loose cables, broken buttons, or other issues. If you find any damage, it might be a hardware problem
