HP Reverb G2 Virtual Reality Headset
Microsoft Windows 11

I cant find anyone who can explain why when i increase the distance between the vr lenses using the adjustment slider the windows mixed reality calibration is at the left hand of the slider and steam vr apps report the ipd as being at the lowest value.

My IPD is 68 dso if I set the slider to space the lenses at their extents then windows mixed reality and steam report the ipd as around 60.   If I use the windows miixed reality slider or steam to 68, then the lenses are at the minimum separation.

if you are at the middle value everything matches.

Is my headset slider fitted the wrong way around or if its not which is correct?

Please dont send me to look at yet more youtube videos, I have watched so many but non of them link the spacing of the lenses in the Hpreverb to the settings that should be being reported via windows mixed reality and steam. I an certain my ipd is 68 because it was measured by an optician. Please help I am totally confused why moving the lenses on the Hp reverb g2 closer together increases the ipd calibration setting in windows mixed reality.
