- mute button is not working as it should

i have bought a omen headset 800 a while ago and after using it for a week i noticed my mute button only lowered my voice instead of muting me. i thought it was supposed to be this way until a friend of mine recently bought the headset as well with a proper working mute button. my headset still got 11 months of warrent left but i have no idea how to contact hp to help me with this problem. what now?

Here is how you can get in touch with tech support.
1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/
2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
