The store where I bought the hp omen, asks me for a document to return the laptop, the document has to say
that hp recognizes that the product is irreparable,  hp refuses to give me that document. The last technical part of the motherboard change and my word to say that it still does not work, does not seem to be enough. Help!!!

Guys do you have in your Omen with rx6600m noises like whine coil? I mean when i enter bios its like something is going to fry xD

Well, again to send the laptop to the technical service, they don't want to process the return of the laptop, or any other solution. The days of free return passed me and I reported the problem a month after having the laptop. I'll let you know how the case ends 😉

Hello.  I am having the same issues with the artifacts popping up when I use Blender.  I came across your Temporary solution but I have no idea how to apply it.  Is there a more detailed way to describe the installation, please?  I am at my wits end with this machine.  Its a few months old and I REALLY don't want to have to return it.  Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hey, I did repack the java source code and jvm (using the lates jpackage). And now you don't need to install anything it comes bundled with all the stuff.

It has an executable (amd-gpu), which you can place in a startup folder (e.g. run -> shell:startup -> place link to amd-gpu.exe)

I am using it for Blender, VMWare, Video editing, no issues so far on the second screen. But keep in mind it still uses some GPU RAM.

And this is not a solution, just a workaround until HP will fix it.

tbh... I am not sure they will, but who knows..

I did the temporary solution (repacked the Java 17 for ppl who are not very familiar with that) a Do something! Stop making people angry!

By the way, my 6600m still doesn't render in cycles. but as I understand it, this is a problem of blender and amd.

And can I find out your mail or contact, what would I write to you if your links are blocked on the hp website?

MayS could you at least give an explanation of why you have deleted the link of a solution to a rather big problem. You should be thanking Konst. I am interested in this program and I am a java programmer in case you need help, I would like to see the code, but I respect your decision, could you upload it to github.

On Monday I receive the laptop from the technical service for the second time, at least this time it has not taken 1 month, but in one day I will be surprised that they have fixed the problem of the artifacts. Will the artifacts have disappeared? Continue... xD

I will send it as many times as necessary to the technical service until they return my money, this looks like a loop
