HP Omen Desktop 875 - Get CMOS 502 error. HP support says to fix that, update the BIOS. My BIOS is already up to date.

How do I fix this?

Hi:

One of the other troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve that error would be to replace the coin cell CMOS battery on your PC's motherboard.

It should be a standard CR2032 battery you can buy almost anywhere.

This should be the service teardown video for your PC's model series.

There is no specific section in the index to remove the CMOS battery, but if you look at the motherboard removal section, that is where you will find the procedure to remove and replace the CMOS battery at approximately 19:42 into the video.

Before working inside the PC, shut it down, unplug it, and press the power button to drain any residual power from the motherboard.
