Your Cable only a month old send it back for a replacement just say that you been told by microsoft its not a software issue so must be the replacement cable i cannot send my cable back as its only covered with 90 days cover and had it for a year in june 😞

Was thinking about going to try windows 11 to see if that sorts the problem will try this weekend after doing a full backup first..

and let you know ..But i would send that cable back for a replacement and if the same error code 7-7 comes up then its a software issus..

I just recently got this error as well. Everything was working fine for months and all of sudden I’m having VR headset randomly go black. Smh.

My G2 has been working perfectly and has suddenly got this error.  7-7

Tried all USB 3.2 ports and USB C all with the same result.

Does anyone have the solution? Is it just a cable problem?

Bought in April this year so the latest version.

No solution to this error has been posted sorry .

Error 7-7 happened to me after windows 10 updated - working fine one day not working the next.

best idea is to report the error to HP and get them to replace the cable if possible.( that way if it is a cable error will sort it )

I am still trying to replace the cable but never any stock of cables with HP.

I've just spoken with them. With any luck they'll do the same.

I've just had an email saying they have shipped a new cable. If this fixes it I'll be very happy with HP customer help.
I'll let you know.
