Greetings,
Welcome back to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
A 1080 may work in your PC.
Two things to check are the following:
The 1080 is 10.5 inches long. The factory 1060 is 6.8 inches long. You need to verify you can install a 10.5 inch card in your PC's chassis.
The stock PSU is 500 watts. A 1080 requires a minimum 500 watt PSU. The 1080 needs one 8 pin PCIe connection to the card.
You can install the 1080 if your PC satisfies both requirements.

Hi,
The 1080 requires additional power directly from the PSU.
You need to verify the HP PSU has at least one supplemental eight pin PCIe power cable that needs to be connected to the graphics card.
You will need to upgrade the power supply if you cannot provide additional power to the GPU.
Regards
