Hello,

I just purchased and mounted two DIMM banks to raise the ram from the initial 16 GB to 32.

They are Kingston Fury Beast running at 3733, exactly as the original HyperX Fury...

however the HP Diagnostic says they run at 2400, the original pair at 3200, the Win Task Manager says that everything runs at 2400

So I entered the BIOS and changed them to run all at 3600, ending in a boot loop with 3 long and 2 short beeps, luckly reverted back in a working state with a CMOS reset

Anyone knows why are they running so slow respect to the nominal speed and how can I make them run as they should ?

Thank you,

Valerio

If you have an AMD based system you can use Ryzenmaster to up the speeds manually.
HP intentionally implements hard-to-obtain RAM sticks with CL timings that aren't available on the regular market.
The least they could do was then sell those modules to their consumers, but they have very low availability.

Luckily AMD has created Ryzenmaster, perhaps there are ways to do it on Intel systems as well.

Unfortunately it's Intel based with a Core-i9 12900K processor

hi,

i have your same pc, and i have buy the same new ram for upgrade the pc but i have this problem.

the problem is this, when I install the new ram modules in the computer and I turn it on, the pc turns on but after a certain number of seconds it restarts and does it in a loop, you can't even see anything in the monitor it's like dead, if I remove the 2 new desks and I leave only the originals the pc starts up regularly. yet I bought the same as the originals.

what should i do to make it start up regularly with the new ram banks?

thanks

Hi,

it did more or less the same to me.

Wihout the new RAM, go in the bios and check if any special profile is enabled for the ram overclocking, disable it.

then put the RAM inside and try to boot

Cheers,

Val

hello, I got the 4 banks of 8gb each taken from amazon at 3733 mhz, I installed all 4 banks, I went to the bios and selected the xmp1 profile at 3733mzh, I restarted and the pc started regularly and the ram 32gb (8gb x4) run at 3733 mhz, in the bios you can select a second xmp profile called xmp2 which runs at 3600 mhz, then there are also 2 standard profiles, one goes to 2400 mhz and the other to 3200 mhz. who may care I bought these ram https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B097HP4VCT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

thanks again for the support
