@DTB1337,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

An HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-0018 PC is capable to be upgraded in a number of ways.  According to HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-0018 PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support and HP Desktop PCs - motherboard specifications, Erica | HP® Customer Support, it can be fitted with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X (3.60 GHz Base frequency, up to 4.40 GHz in turbo mode) and up to 2 x 16GB DDR4 PC4-25600 (3200 MHz) UDIMM 288-pin RAM.

The bottleneck is that this PC is fitted with a proprietary HP 310 watt power supply. With no 6+2 / 8-pin PCIe power connection cables to power a high(er) end graphics card.  You would be stuck, so to speak with a low power GTX 1650.  Not too bad, but not too overwhelming either.

According to this HP power supply compatibility spreadsheet: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Power-Supply-Cross-Reference-for-specific-model..., -look at the "TG01" column with associated power supplies, there are compatible 400 watt (p/n: L04618-800) and 500 watt PSUs (p/n: L05757-800) available.  [EDIT:] The latter even has a 6+2 PCIe power connector, which make it possible to consider fitting this gaming rig with up to an RTX 3050 graphics card.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
