MotherBoard Hp 89D8, should work with amd 5xxx series, dont work with r7 5800x, what’s a problem?

The problem is that the HP  89D8 motherboard does not support the  Ryzen 7 5800x processor.

 

I recommend that you always check the list of supported processors on the motherboard specs page before buying a processor.

In my Pc was r5 5500, without G, why is worked with r5 5500, but dont work with r7 5800x

Quite simply, you were lucky it did.

 

Most likely the BIOS does not have the microcode to support the Ryzen 7 5800x.

According to the list of supported processors on the motherboard link I posted the AMD Ryzen 7 5700G should work fine.
