3F0 error Boot device not found

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

This error usually means your primary HDD or SSD may have failed.

A SATA power or data cable may have come loose. This would also cause this error.

You would have to visually inspect and reseat connections to the storage device and the motherboard to verify the connections are good.

You can run HP Diagnostics (Link) to check storage device health status.

Regards

Hi Clary1,

You should be in warranty if your PC is brand new.

Did you take a look at the SATA power and data cables to verify they are properly seated?

Contact HP Support (Link) for warranty service if the cables are securely connected to the motherboard and the storage device.

Regards
