Product: OMEN by HP 27 inch QHD 240Hz Gaming Monitor - OMEN 27qs

I have connected this monitor to an AMD Radeon 7900xtx (24Gb). With HDMI I get the AMD Freesync (144Hz). However, if I want 240 Hz, I have to connect the Displayport. The AMD Freesync option is not available with Displayport. The refresh rate (on the monitor) is also set to the maximum 240Hz. Resolution of the Monitor: 2560x1440. What am I doing wrong?

@B3RN , welcome to the Community.

 

You should read the specifications of the monitor carefully.  I know that my monitor states that the maximum resolution is only obtained when connected to a DisplayPort.
