AMD Sinkclose BIOS update

Hello,

I was wondering if there was any BIOS update time frame for the Ryzen 3000 series Sinkclose vulnerability update? I know this is a bit strange but the vulnerability makes me concerned for my Ryzen 7 3700x and my PC's safety.

Thanks for the info. I was not aware of this security vulnerability in AMD CPUs.

ZDNet has an informative article about SinkClose.  There is a link to Tom's Hardware stating AMD 3000 CPUs may not get the fix.

I have a Ryzen 3900X on an MSI B550 MB. MSI has a Beta BIOS update with the SinkClose patch. So it looks like AMD is patching older CPUs. Or MSI is patching the BIOS on my system since the MB supports Ryzen 5000 series CPUs.

I would not know if and when HP would issue a BIOS update having the SinkClose patch. And it is unclear if AMD will fix Ryzen 3000 series processor.

AMD is going to patch Ryzen 3000 series processors per The Register.
