@Tjorvorvar , welcome to the Community.

HP no longer provides information about bays that are in their cases.  It may be possible to add a 2.5", SSD, to a blank space in the case.  They are light and can easily be held in place with velcro.  You will need a SATA port on the motherboard and a power cable on the power supply unit (PSU).

Personally, I like to use USB external hard drives for storage.  They don't take up space in the case that will block airflow.  Here is a SSD that I use for storage.

After dissasembling to PC, the case had an internal slot for 3.5 inch hdd, motherboats had to extra sata connectors but no means to connect the HDD to the power supply. Odd design for sure. So I had to go for an external HDD that makes little sense whan having a desktop computer.

Thank you for the additional information, @Tjorvorvar!

You would have to use a "Y" adapter to use one of the power cables connected to another drive.  This is done all of the time.  However, I don't believe that you will find the external drive to be a major problem.  I have two full-size external drives and two 2.5" drives like the one in my link and they don't present me with any problems.

The problem is the onlly dirve is the C drive which is a flash drive with a PCIe interface directly on the motherboard. Not on a PCI slot- So there is no sopport for a Y way to split the power.

Since I don't have access to a diagram of the motherboard I can't always know what is available.  Thank you for the explanation, @Tjorvorvar!
