Microsoft Windows 11

Machine: OMEN 45L GT22-1455t PC

CPU: Intel i9-13900K

Original RAM: Kingston Fury 16GB (2x8GB) DDR5 5200 XMP RGBHS

O/S: Windows 11 Home

I just added Kingston Fury 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 5200 XMP to my above (NEW) HP OMEN 45L. All 80MB of the Ram is recognized in Task Manager, but is shown to be running at only 2000MHz. All the RAM is identical to the original Ram installed on the computer and is rated at 5200MHz. In BIOS, XMP is shown as LOCKED, and if I attempt to "UNLOCK" it (I have not taken this step yet.) I am presented with a warning message that this will VOID the warranty on the computer. What do I need to do to get my RAM to run at 5200MHz?

I had this same thing happen.

My solution: take out all the RAM, but leave in one stick. Boot into bios, set ram to XMP 1. Save and exit bios. Boot into Windows 11. Open task manager, confirm one stick of ram is running at 5200. Add second stick and repeat. Add third stick and repeat. Add fourth stick and repeat. Done.

My guess: this was caused by the recent bios update. But that's just a guess.

Hope that works for you!
