Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my HP Omen 875-0363ng gaming pc, but not sure what a good spec would be for improved performance and some future proofing. The current spec is:

Intel Core i7-9700F, HyperX 16GB DDR4 RAM, 1 TB HDD, 256GB SSD, Nvidia GeoForce RTX 2060 6GB DDR6, Windows 10.

Also, the fan on my pc has always been VERY loud, so would be good to get something a little less noisy

 Anyone got some decent recommendations?

Thanks!

@AliG72,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

According to the specs, your OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop PC - 875-0363ng as fitted with the Edoras motherboard (SSID: 84FD), is powered by an ATX 500-watt power supply.

With this power supply, and depending on your budget, I would recommend one of the smaller-sized RTX 4060 or RTX 4060 Ti models powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power cable. These graphics cards would provide a very substantial graphics card improvement, they should run a lot quieter too, and they should be competitively priced as well in your country.

Btw, your gaming PC is highly upgradeable, if only because you could upgrade your processor all the way up to an i9-9900K, and since your motherboard is 24-pin ATX power enabled, you can also upgrade your power supply (if you want to venture beyond an RTX 4060 Ti) with any industry standard ATX power supply, as long as you watch its dimensions (LxWxH) for fit inside your case. Also, if you haven't done so already, use the M.2 NVMe SSD slot to make an M.2 NVMe SSD your primary (boot) drive for speed and performance.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
