As title suggests, every single type of port on the back of my PC stopped working suddenly, can't connect to monitor, mouse and keyboard don't work with it nor does HDMI connections. Any idea what could have gone wrong? It happened within a 30-40 minute span I wasn't home.

Greetings @DAN3359

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Is your PC in warranty?

It looks like your PC has developed a critical hardware failure.

Does the PC show any signs of life (fans spinning, startup sounds or active LEDs) when you depress the power button or is it completely DOA?

I'm sorry but I've got to ask if you have verified AC power is available to the PC? And have you checked all external connections to the PC. Have you also checked all internal connections to the MB?

It is difficult to pinpoint the cause of this type of problem in a Forum. I can only provide general troubleshooting tips.

You should contact HP Support if the PC is in warranty. You might need a local PC Tech if the PC is out of warranty.

It looks like a power delivery problem due to a faulty component or a short may be happening if the PC is non-responsive at power on.

Reducing the PC to a minimum configuration:

You would have to methodically reduce the PC to a minimum configuration while checking for a good POST after removing non essential components.

Required component troubleshooting would require a replacement component to check for a good POST.

Required components are as follows:

1. Power supply

2. Graphics

3. RAM

4. CPU

5. MB

Disconnect non essential components:

Only connect a external monitor. Try to start the PC.

Then disconnect: internal storage drives, front panel USB (including a card reader if applicable). And disconnect the WIFI card and the optical drive if applicable.

Try to start the PC.

Now try each stick of HP factory RAM, one at a time, in each memory slot. Try to start the PC each time. You might have to try a a different, known good and compatible, stick of RAM in all memory slots at this juncture.

Next try on board graphics if your processor and MB's rear I/O support video out. Try to start the PC.

Or you might have to swap in a different graphics card at this point.

Swapping in replacement components:

At the RAM and graphics troubleshooting stage you may need a local PC tech if the PC is not in warranty because all remaining components (power supply, CPU, and MB) including the graphics card and RAM may have to be swapped in using known good replacement components.

Or your PC's add in components can be checked by a local PC Tech using a, known good, test bench: MB and power supply.
