I purchased the HP OMEN max 16-ah0124TX from http://www.einssystem.co.kr/, an official HP dealer in Korea, on April 5th(LOCAL TIME), but I haven't received it yet. The official dealer keeps saying that they don't know when the product will arrive in Korea due to production delays at the HP factory. Is there really a production delay for products with RTX5090?

Here is what they sent me when I asked them.

- Hello. This is eins system, the official HP dealer. We apologize for the inconvenience. The original schedule for stocking was early May, but the model in question is currently being delayed due to a delay in the local manufacturing process. If there is a delay in the delivery process, we can give you a rough estimate of the stocking and shipping schedule, but it is difficult to provide you with such information due to production delays. We are continuously requesting you to check the schedule, and we will notify you as soon as the schedule is available. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you.

@Terante87,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Thank you for your message. I understand how frustrating this situation must be, especially after placing your order in early April.

Here's what may be happening:

  1. Production Delays Likely Real – Especially for RTX 5090 Models
The HP OMEN Max 16-ah0124TX includes cutting-edge hardware (e.g., RTX 5090), which is part of a very new GPU series. Global production for these GPUs may still be ramping up, especially for laptop integration, which often lags behind desktop GPU availability. It’s possible that HP factories are indeed experiencing allocation bottlenecks or shipment delays.

  2. Seller May Not Have a Clear Delivery Timeline
The response from EinsSystem sounds sincere, and unfortunately, resellers often have limited visibility into factory-level logistics. The fact that the product is marked not available for purchase on the Auction.co.kr listing could mean:

    • They’ve temporarily paused new orders while waiting for stock.

    • Or they are reconsidering the sale and may eventually cancel, especially if delays are longer than expected.

  3. Cultural Note
Dear OP, as I understand it from an expatriate-Dutch/American citizen's POV, in Korean business culture, it is common to avoid direct confrontation or disappointing a customer bluntly. So, it may be possible that the Seller may be reluctant to cancel outright, waiting until they’re absolutely sure they cannot fulfill the order.

What You Can Do:

  • Request a firm deadline: Ask EinsSystem something like:
If the product does not ship by [e.g., May 20th], would you be willing to issue a refund?” This gives both parties a face-saving way to move forward.

  • Contact HP Korea directly: You can also ask HP Korea whether this specific model (OMEN 16-ah0124TX with RTX 5090) has an estimated shipping or production schedule:

  • Keep a screenshot of your order and all communication, in case you need to request a refund through Auction.co.kr or via your payment method.

Let me know if you’d like help drafting a message to HP Korea or if anything changes. I hope it gets resolved soon -this is a powerful laptop, and it’ll be worth the wait if it comes through!

Kind Regards,
