So i wanted to update my bios since its f.13 03/29/2002 and i try to get the newer version but every time it says the update that im try to get is older than the current one.  It was released on May and still older than the one released in March????  How do i update it so i can actually use this computer to do stuff?

What is the Product Number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. You can find the Product Number at the bottom of the page when you open HP Support Assistant.

check your motherboard SSID version very carefully
