Hi @THESWEET98,

Thank you for the update and for sharing the BIOS details currently installed on your system.

Based on the information available for the OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P7AV) running Windows 11 version 21H2 (64-bit), the latest BIOS released for this platform is:

  • HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS Update (ROM Family SSID 8876)
  • Version: F.13 Rev.A
  • File Size: 13.7 MB
  • Release Date: May 5, 2022

Since your system is currently reporting BIOS F.19, this indicates that a newer BIOS version may already be installed on your device than the version currently listed for that specific operating system configuration. BIOS availability can vary based on the exact product configuration, motherboard revision, and operating system version.

Regarding the Secure Boot violation, Event ID 1796, SBAT failure (0x800700c1), and UEFICA2023Status InProgress messages, these are commonly associated with recent Secure Boot certificate and security updates. If Secure Boot is generating errors after being enabled, kindly ensure that all Windows updates have been installed and that the BIOS settings are configured to factory defaults before re-enabling Secure Boot.

My system is motherboard SSID 8876 and is currently on BIOS F.19. HP’s own security bulletin lists F.19 for OMEN 30L GT13-1xxx / 8876. Windows boots normally with Secure Boot disabled, but enabling Secure Boot causes “Invalid signature detected.” Windows also shows UEFICA2023Status = InProgress, and Event ID 1796 repeatedly reports SBAT update failure with error 0x800700c1.

Can you confirm whether BIOS F.19 for SSID 8876 fully supports Microsoft’s 2023 Secure Boot certificate/SBAT update process, and whether HP has a newer or corrective firmware for this issue?

Hi @THESWEET98,

Based on the details available, BIOS F.19 is currently the latest BIOS version released for your motherboard. At this time, HP has not published a newer BIOS specifically to address the Secure Boot certificate or SBAT-related behaviour you are experiencing.

Recommended steps:

  1. Install all available Windows updates, including optional updates.
  2. Restore BIOS settings to Factory Defaults, then save and restart the PC.
  3. Verify that the system date and time are correct in BIOS.
  4. Start Windows with Secure Boot disabled and confirm that Windows Update completes successfully.
  5. Re-enable Secure Boot and check whether the error persists.

Since there is currently no newer BIOS available for SSID 8876, I would recommend keeping a close watch on the HP Support website for any future BIOS or firmware updates that may be released for your platform. Any corrective firmware, if developed, would be posted there first.
