Good evening,
I am interested in upgrading my CPU, I currently have an i5 processor but was looking to get myself a Ryzen AMD processor. My current motherboard is an HP 82F1. I have no idea currently if my motherboard would be compatible with a Ryzen AMD or if it is, which one if there is a specific one its compatible with. I was hoping for some help as to if this is an upgrade I can make right now, or if I have to upgrade my motherboard first.
Thanks a bunch!

Hi Bryce,
The 82F1 motherboard is only compatible with Intel processors, not AMD so you would need a different motherboard.
Your current motherboard is upgradable to the following processors:
Intel Core i7-7700 (Kabylake) 3.6 GHz Quad Core
Intel Core i5-7400 (Kabylake) 3.0 GHz Quad Core
Intel Core i3-7100 (Kabylake) 3.9 GHz Dual Core (only with Twister chassis.
