Hello
I want to Upgrade my CPU cooler from my obelisk 875-1201, because its to loud. But since the mainboard is a product by HP. I cant find information, what cooler Socket Type i can use.
If anybody knows it would be gratis. Hp Support wants to Deal with it online via Phone and the waiting is rly long, and I habe to pay since garanty is gone

Hello
You have an Intel LGA 1151 socket.
Most aftermarket CPU coolers require using the specific product's backplate. This means you may have to remove the motherboard from the HP chassis to remove HP's backplate and install the required new product backplate to install a new CPU cooler.
Its a process. You also have to check proposed cooler dimensions to verify it fits in the HP chassis and does not conflict with RAM or other components near the CPU socket.
HP does not support installing non HP components in their PCs.
This upgrade is doable but you will not get assistance from HP.
