CPU upgrade

Hi Im looking to upgrade my cpu and just wondering if anyone has any good options right now I have a I5 9400 f @ 2.9Ghz as well as a Rx 6700 xt. My motherboard is a 84fd and I have a 500 watt power supply and 16g ddr4 ram. Just wondering what a good cpu upgrade would b and if my pc would be able to support it.

Okay, then, your PC is fitted with the EdorasDF motherboard with SSID: 84FD.

Let's suppose for a moment that you got an HP OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-0xxx, the best possible processor you could upgrade to would be, according to HP, the following processor options:

i7-9700 or an i7-9700F

But wait.

EdorasDF Users had figured out for a long time that you can go far beyond this.

Other not-named upgrade compatible processors would be:

i7-9700K / i7-9700KF / i5-9600K / i5-9600KF / i7-8086K / i7-8700K.

Keep in mind that a CPU cooler/fan combo upgrade should be considered when you go from a 65-watt TDP processor to a 95-watt TDP processor.
