HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-xa0xxx
Microsoft Windows 11

Will I be able to upgrade the CPU of my HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-xa0xxx? I am unsure if the CPU is replaceable. Currently, it is an i5-8400T CPU and I want to upgrade it to something more recent so I can run more games that require higher specs. Is this idea possible and is it worth it? Thanks.

According to the product number you posted, you have a   HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-xa0024 PC.

Below is the link to the product specs for your PC:

HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-xa0024 Product Specifications | HP® Support

Below is the link to the motherboard specs, which has the list of supported processors:

HP Desktop PCs - Motherboard Specifications, Diamaster | HP® Support

The best processor you can install would be the Intel Core i7-8700T.

As to whether or not HP can/will upgrade your PC, you would have to contact HP starting at the link below and see if they would do the work and how much it would cost.

Official HP® Support

Be prepared to pay hundreds of USD for them to do the upgrade--maybe more than you paid for the PC itself.

The i5-8400T is a removable processor but in order to know what other processors may be supported in your PC's motherboard, I would need to know the product number of your PC in order to look up the motherboard specs.

To find the product number, click on the search icon on your Windows taskbar.

Type: System Information

The System information app should show up.

Run the app and the product number of your notebook will be found on the System SKU line about 1/4 of the way down on the report.

Hi. Is it safe to put the System SKU value here in the replies?

Yes, the only thing that the forum rules do not want you to post is the serial number of your PC.

There could be (and probably are) hundreds of PC's with the same product number as yours.

I see. In that case, my system SKU is 4NM47AA#ABA
