@SantiagoCaballo,

Well, then, since HP greenlighted an RTX 5060 Ti, they should know, right?

In any regards, this card needs at least a 500-watt power supply.  The part number for such as power supply is: L05757-800 / 901759-013 / 901759-003 / L77487-001 -either one of them will work.  Make sure that the little 7-pin "P2" power connector has at least 6 wires.

I would go for a smaller-sized (dual fan) model, such as this one: ASUS DUAL RTX 5060 Ti EVO Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database, powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power cable.

Kind Regards,

@SantiagoCaballo,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

An excellent question!

I assume you want to avoid having your current CPU (processor) bottleneck an RTX 5070 -correct?

Please provide your PC's model and what processor you got.  Also, given the RTX 5070's TDP (250-watt), you should have at least a 650-watt power supply, and you'll likely need one of the smaller-sized (dual fan) models to fit inside your case.

And lest I forgot to mention it, please be advised that many HP desktops (Pavilions and Omens in particular) appear not (yet?) to be compatible with Nvidia RTX 50xx cards -or AMD RX 90xx cards for that matter.

My model is HP Pavilion Gaming-TG01-1xxx and I have a i5-10400F, i dont know if i would have bottleneck.

@SantiagoCaballo,

As I was afraid of, it does not appear that the HP Pavilion TG01-1xxx system is compatible with Nvidia's newest RTX 50xx series graphics cards.

I base this not just on my own experience with an HP Pavilion TP01-3xxx, but also because none of the more than 6,700 HP Pavilion TG01-1xxx users show an RTX 50xx card: UserBenchmark: HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-1xxx Compatible Components.

That means, realistically, that you should aim for a smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4060 Ti (minimum 500-watt power supply) or an RTX 4070 or an RTX 4070 Ti (minimum 650-watt power supply).

If you need the part numbers for either power supply upgrade and where to buy one, let me know.

The i5-10400F should perform OK with the aforementioned graphics cards upgrade, but if you can, ideally upgrade to an i7-10700 or i7-10700F.  You can buy one of these processors starting around $150 via an eBay-US Seller. [EDIT:] -At least in the US, sorry.

so theres no way i can get to work a 5070?

@SantiagoCaballo,

Like I said, unfortunately, it doesn't look like that the RTX 50xx cards are compatible with your system. By all means, you can try it and see what happens, but be prepared that it doesn't work.

There is nothing you or I can do about this.  It is up to HP to create a BIOS/microcode update, but progress in that regard is slow -even with newer HP PC systems.
